Victor Jacob is appointed as Principal Conductor of the orchestras from ADO (Apprentissage De l’Orchestre)

Victor Jacob conducted the Orchestre des Frivolités Parisiennes for the finals of the Paris Opera Competition at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris on Friday (14 September) to great acclaim.  The concert came just after the announcement from the Opéra de Paris of Victor’s appointment as Principal Conductor of the orchestras from ADO (Apprentissage De l’Orchestre - Learning the Orchestra), the first youth opera orchestra scheme ever initiated in France.  Victor will work along with the young musicians from two different ensembles: the Noureev orchestra and the Maria Callas orchestra, which will all perform in their annual concert at the Opera-Bastille on Sunday 16 June 2024 at 7.30pm.

Victor Jacob est nommé chef principal des orchestres ADO (Apprentissage De l’Orchestre), le premier dispositif orchestral lyrique de jeunes en France créé par l’Opéra national de Paris et son Académie en partenariat avec onze conservatoires de Paris et de Seine-Saint-Denis. Dans le cadre d’ADO, Victor Jacob dirigera deux orchestres, l’Orchestre Noureev composé d’élèves de 2e cycle, et l’Orchestre Maria Callas, composé d’élèves de 3e cycle spécialisé. Il les préparera tout au long de la saison en vue d’un grand concert annuel à l’Opéra Bastille ou au Palais. Cette saison, ce concert aura lieu à l’Opéra Bastille le dimanche 16 juin 2024 à 19h30.
