Victor Jacob conducts the Orquesta Sinfónica Juan José Landaeta and the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège

VICTOR JACOB has travelled across the world, conducting a symphony orchestra in venezuela as part of el sistema, before returning to France to direct the orchestre philharmonique royal de liège

For a concert in collaboration with El Sistema, a music-education programme based in Venezuela, Victor Jacob conducted the Orquesta Sinfónica de Juan José Landaeta in the Sala Simón Bolívar. Following a successful performance, Victor Jacob returned to Europe to direct the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège, with whom he performed a programme of Mendelssohn (Hebrides Overture), Bruch (Scottish Fantasy), and Sibelius (Four Legends for Orchestra). One of Victor's three concerts last week was curated specifically for children and younger families, featuring the latter Sibelius work, which accompanied Chinese shadow plays outlining the magical legends.
