Nicholas Scott prepares for his final performance with Les Arts Florissants at Carnegie Hall

following a successful series of performances in france, nicholas scott now travels across the ocean with les arts florissants to perform their charpentier programme ‘music for holy week’

Over the past few weeks, Nicholas Scott has performed across France, Belgium and Poland with both Les Arts Florissants and Cappella Mediterranea. With the latter group, Nicholas performed Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo at La Seine Musicale in Boulogne, at the Opera National de Lorraine, and in Namur.

With Les Arts Florissants, Nicholas sung at the prestigious Paris Philharmonie, the Chapelle Royale in Versailles, and Artus Court in Gdansk, Poland. Their programme of works by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, the French Baroque composer active during the reign of Louis XIV, explored a variety of sacred repertoire in celebration of Holy Week and was greatly enjoyed by audiences. Nicholas will perform the same programme once more with the ensemble later this month at Carnegie Hall. See below for more information!

An exciting upcoming performance includes a concert with Le Poeme Harmonique at the Berliner Philharmonie in May. There, Nicholas Scott will join the ensemble, alongside numerous other star soloists, in an exploration of both operatic and sacred music, including works by Monteverdi, Mazzocchi and Rossi.
