Le Consort broadcasts on Austria’s leading radio station for the Festwochen der Alten Musik
On 19th september at 2:05pm aut, a concert comprising works by Antonio Vivaldi, Giovanni Battista Reali, Tomaso Albinoni and Giorgio Gentili , among others will be broadcast on orf (österreichischer rundfunk).
Recorded on the 26th August in the Spanish Hall of Ambras Castle, one of the most important freestanding halls of the renaissance, it was one of the last concerts staged this year at the Festwochen der Alten Musik (Innsbruck Early Music Festival). Held annually, the festival has gained an impressive international reputation for reviving works composed between the 14th and 18th centuries.
To mark their Austrian debut, Le Consort perform a range of both more widely and lesser known works by Italian composers of the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
