Lauren Lodge-Campbell performs with the Gabrieli Consort
Next week, Lauren Lodge-Campbell will perform two challenging programmes at the beaune festival and les musicales du luberon, respectively
Since performing with the Pinchgut Opera in April and May, Lauren Lodge-Campbell has had a quieter period of rest and recovery in preparation for the next two concerts coming up next week. The soprano will perform at the Beaune Festival in the first instance, singing a programme of Purcell’s Odes with the Gabrieli Consort. This period instrument ensemble has already achieved an international reputation for musical excellence and strives towards recreating the original performances of musical works as far as possible. Lauren will join the group again for the opening concert of the Musicales du Luberon summer festival; this time, the ensemble will seek a more majestic and patriotic air, recreating the dynamism of Purcell’s energetic and imaginative opera, King Arthur. Lauren will be joined by several other acclaimed soloists for this production.
