Gwendoline Blondeel performs at three major upcoming music festivals

Over the next month, RISING SOPRANO Gwendoline Blondeel will perform at the namur festival, the Prieuré de vivoin festival, as well as the salzburger festspiele in austria

Over the past few months, Gwendoline Blondeel has performed in a huge number of venues, ranging from the Terrace Theater at the Kennedy Centre in DC and the Museo del Barrio in NYC with Opera Lafayette, to the Agapé Festival in Geneva and the Liège Royal Philharmonic. This week, Gwendoline will perform the little known opera La Jerusalem Délivrée with Cappella Mediterranea at the Namur Festival. The rediscovery of this work comes just over 300 years after its initial premiere in 1712 by the king’s music in France. Composed by the Duke Philippe d'Orléans, the future regent of France, this is just one of the three musical tragedies composed over the course of his life.

Later in July, Gwendoline will perform as a soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with Le Poeme Harmonique at the Prieuré de Vivoin Festival, and will sing at the Salzburger Festspiele with Vox Luminis and the Freigburger BarockConsort. See below for more information!
