Jolyon Loy makes his debut performance in Glass’ Akhnaten with the English National Opera

Following a successful opening night last weekend, jolyon loy stars in an award-winning production of philip glass’ aKHNATEN AT THE LONDON COLISEUM

Jolyon Loy makes his debut performance in the role of ‘Aye’ in Philip Glass’ famous opera, Akhnaten. The opera, which is sung in Egyptian, Hebrew, and Akkadian, tells the story of Pharaoh Akhnaten and his shift away from the Egyptian pantheon. Drawing on ancient hymns, prayers and inscriptions, the text of the opera is complimented by Glass’ typical minimalist sound in this spectacle production.
