Justin Taylor performs a recital at the Concertgebouw, Brugge
jUSTIN TAYLOR WILL PERFORM A RECITAL ON Tuesday 9th August, 2022 AT 11:30 IN THE Chamber Music Hall, Concertgebouw BruggE AS PART OF THE MA FESTIVAL
Justin Taylor is no stranger to the Concertgebouw, Brugge. In 2015 he won First Prize at the Musica Antiqua (MA) Harpsichord Competition, along with the Audience Prize, the Alpha Classics Prize, and the EUBO Developing Trust Prize. This was the competition that kick-started his glittering career and now he returns to Brugge to perform in the MA Festival, 2022.
He presents a varied keyboard program, rooted in the French repertoire of the late 17th century to 1789. His theme is freedom, both in rhythm and of repertoire, a freedom that reflects the French revolutionary quest for liberté.
There will be works by among others, Johann Jakob Froberger (1616-1667), Louis Couperin (1626-1661), François Couperin (1668-1733) & Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764).
