German cellist Benedict Kloeckner will appear alongside the RPO at Cadogan Hall, London on 7 September as part of a special concert celebrating British composer Howard Blake. He will perform Blake’s cello concerto “Diversions”, as well as the premiere of a new double concerto for violin and cello. It was with “Diversions” that Benedict  won the European Broadcasting Union Award in Bratislavia, 2010.  Since, he has embarked on a busy performing schedule, now appearing under the baton of conductors such as Michael Sanderling, Christoph Eschenbach,  Ingo Metzmacher and Clemens Schuldt.
